ABB ACS380 is a high-performance fully compatible mechanical transmission with reliable performance and easy integration. The power range is 0.25-22KW, suitable for various industrial applications and environments, including printing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, electronics and electrical engineering, logistics, textiles, rubber, plastics, building materials, food, beverage, tobacco machinery, and water industries. The entire series is equipped with built-in Modbus RTU communication. This article mainly introduces the ACS380 Modbus communication function.
1. Hardware interface
Remove the outer cover plate, as shown in the figure below. The gray terminal on the right side shows the RS-485 interface
2. Parameter settings
Control macro set to Modbus
Or directly set parameters (using scalar control as an example)
58.01=1; Enable built-in modbus
58.03=1; Station address
58.04=3; Baud rate 19.2
58.05=2; Data format 8 even 1
20.01=14; External 1 command with built-in fieldbus
28.11=8; External 1 frequency setting value 1 selects built-in fieldbus
